Comprised of 25 CVB members chosen by the Nominating Committee to represent all regions within the CVB: Blackstone Valley, Greater Sturbridge, Johnny Appleseed, Corridor Nine Region, and Worcester Metro.
Volunteer group comprised of member & non-member business professionals throughout the community dedicated to promoting the CVB. The Hospitality Hosts (HH) meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month for a networking breakfast meeting. This group is the Core Volunteer group and an extension the organizations PR. The members of the HH assist the CVB with the development and coordination of the Annual Campaign to increase membership.
This Committee consists of members representing the region who have professional marketing experience. These members act as consultants giving input to the CMCB as we review ideas and proposals regarding publicity, promotion, advertising and creative marketing programs as well as investigating new cooperative opportunities while developing new initiatives that follow the brand.
The Hotel Association meets on a monthly basis at rotating locations throughout the region. Members include representatives from regional hotels, inns, bed & breakfast, and meeting facilities. Benefits to being a member of this association include networking with industry associates, receipt of convention, meeting and event sales leads, advanced notice of cooperative advertising and tradeshow opportunities, and share in the development of new sales ideas.
This committee is made up of the CVB Convention Sales Department, DCU Center, Destination Worcester, and City of Worcester officials, hotel managers and sales directors. The primary goal of the task force is to increase the number of conventions, meetings and events in the City of Worcester. The meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the DCU Center.
Committee is responsible for securing golfers, sponsorships, volunteers as well as developing innovative ideas in order to present a unique tournament.
This committee is made up of members interested in increasing the group tour industry within the Central Massachusetts region. The group meets and discusses relevant information, publications, timely topics and shows pertaining to the group tour industry in general. The group also works on creative collateral pieces, itineraries, partnerships, packages and tours including FAMs in order to make CM top of mind in the group tour industry.
Ad hoc committee to investigate the possibility of creating a signature event that will successfully market the CM region to local and outside visitors and offer the prospect of funding for the CMCVB.
