Internships Available

The Central Massachusetts/Worcester County Convention and Visitors Bureau has internships available on a regular basis. As the “hub” of the Central Massachusetts hospitality industry, we’re looking for outgoing, dedicated students to work with us in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Our internships require that students possess strong communication and computer skills. It is a fun, casual working environment that will help prepare students for the “real world”. Marketing & Communications Intern

Job Description: Interns will assist us in reaching our target audiences through a variety of mediums. The intern will support all departments as needed with special events, administrative support and sales.

The Marketing & Communications Intern may be assigned to work on the following tasks:

  • market research & data analysis
  • drafting press releases
  • attending press conferences & events
  • developing surveys
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials: sales kits, membership materials, correspondence, flyers, web site and others as needed.
  • Attend meetings/events with supervisor as needed
  • Create itineraries

Sales & Administration Intern

Job Description: You’ll use your customer service and organizational skills to assist all staff with compiling sales leads, correspondence, follow-up procedures and research. 

 The Sales & Administration Intern may be assigned to work on the following tasks:

  • Membership recruitment
  • Maintenance of ACT! (membership database)
  • Attending member events/meetings with a supervisor
  • Phone calls/correspondence to recruit and communicate with members
  • Assisting with lead development
  • Sales research
  • Help with financials and accounts payable
