Step Back In Time

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of busy life and experience history in Central Massachusetts. Start your get-away at Old Sturbridge Village where you can tour this recreated 1830's village. Stop at Hyland Orchard and Brewery for a brewery tour and perhaps sample their pale or amber ale.

Relax as you drive through the countryside of Central Massachusetts to Salem Cross Inn. Take a guided tour through the restored circa 1700 farmhouse and gaze through the extensive collection of American antiques. And then enjoy a lunch of Old Fashion Chicken Pie on a Biscuit.

Head back to Sturbridge to explore the many shops and antique stores along the main streets before finishing out your day with a meal rich in history at the Publick House Historic Inn. Every day is Thanksgiving here so get ready to dive into that turkey with cornbread and sausage stuffing and don't forget to save room for the well-known sticky buns.
