Benefit EARTH Bash at Southwick’s Zoo on June 19, 2009

Mark your calendar and get ready for the fourth annual Benefit EARTH Bash on Friday, June 19th, 2009 from 6 – 11 p.m. at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon, MA. You have an opportunity to show your support for the important mission of EARTH Limited, which is to provide environmental and conservation education with an emphasis on animal ecology, endangered species and threatened habitats.

This year’s theme is “Going Green” and Sysco Foods is donating all of the paper goods from their new product line for environmental awareness.

This year’s event features silent and live auctions, Coastline Entertainment, champagne and Barefoot wine compliments of Gallo Wine, beer compliments of Mendon Wine and Spirits, as well as a cash bar. We will be featuring the unique tastes of local area restaurants including Alicante of Mendon, Fresco’s of Upton, Restaurant 45 of Medway, New England Steak and Seafood of Mendon, Wanokura Japanese Restaurant of Milford, Daily Bread of Whitinsville, Olivas of Milford, as well as crudités and cultural foods compliments of The Painted Turtle at Southwick’s Zoo.

At the auction you will bid on wonderful prizes like two nights on Block Island at the 1661 Inn and Hotel Manisses, an African Safari vacation in South Africa, gift baskets, autographed shirts, hats and photos of Matt Light and Stephen Neal and Club House Red Sox tickets compliments of channel 5. We are even expecting Matt Light and Stephen Neal of the New England Patriots to make a personal appearance in support of our event.

The Skyline Skyfari will be running to take you on a  complimentary journey through the African Plains and beyond.  Southwick’s Zoo is your playground for the evening. 

EARTH Limited has an ambitious agenda for the next few years. In addition to the current education programs, internships, summer adventure camp and Zoomobiles, plans are moving forward for a new discovery center at Southwick’s Zoo
