Mark your calendar to be one of the 12 students who are invited into the kitchen of Chef Shari Alexander to enjoy watching her prepare more than 10 sumptuous dishes. Right from the frying pan and into the dining room,...eating them Tuscan family style with other "foodies!" August/September Class Schedule
Shari Alexander, Chef-Innkeeper, is a graduate of the New York Restaurant School. She won 3 stars from The New York Times when her Hamptons restaurant, "The Ship's Galley" in Sag Harbor, was reviewed. After 10 years she successfully sold it and went on to create and manage restaurants in The Hamptons, Spain, and Sarasota, Florida. Shari has been in the food biz for over 25 years and has had a large celebrity clientele during her exciting career, Alan Alda, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Billy Joel, to name a few. Shari is a noted food and wine columnist, has been featured on national television programs and was recently inducted by her peers into the prestigious culinary association, "Les Amis d' Escoffier.
The Red Maple Inn Cooking School is Shari's passion now: "It is such a fun way to learn about international cuisines, food techniques and history, plus spend an evening eating some great food with new Foodie friends!"
August/September Schedule
Each class includes demonstrations of various International cuisines and a professional wine tastingis included with our "feasting!" A diploma & culinary gift included. Class size limited to 12 Students, so please reserve early. $98 pp, tax & service included. 10% Discount on overnight accommodations. Shari will do "Summer in Italy" every Saturday night, (6-9:30 PM of August. Concentrating on seasonal ingredients and the favorite summer fare of the Tuscany and costal villages of Italy. September 1st, September 15th, 22nd & 29th will feature "Food of The Sun!" Wonderful tastes from the Mediterranean coast, rich fish stews, paella, roast meats with fragrant sauces, perfect early fall flavors....YUM!
