Legends of Rock N' BluesThe Maplewind Youth Orchestra is a 20-piece group of middle and high school musicians from north central Massachusetts who come together in order to perform classical, jazz, rock and popular music at the highest of levels. The group engages in many treks including tours of Washington, D.C., Quebec City in Canada, and the State House in Boston, and trips to Lincoln Center in NYC and New England Conservatory in Boston.
In its fourth year, MYO has become an ensemble of distinction with a varied repertoire that has included the Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Stairway to Heaven, the Entertainer, Peer Gynt Suite, and medleys of music by the Beatles and Billy Joel.
