The Henry Lee Willis Center is a multicultural, minority-based social service organization located in Worcester. For ten years, we have been providing quality services to those in need, serving approximately 22,000 children, adults, and families annually. Our vision is to create a community in which people of color and the disadvantaged can gain equal access to quality human and social services that improve their quality of life. We do this by designing programs that empower individuals through education, skill development, and advocacy.

Preservation Worcester works to preserve the sites and structures that are significant to the culture, history, and architecture of the city and encourages excellence in design in the future. Walking tours and Educational programs are available as well as resources for restoring historic properties.

Worcester African Cultural Center

The Worcester African Cultural Center is located in a historic building formerly used for manufacturing. The Center is an affiliate of The Worcester Cultural Coalition. The Worcester African Cultural Center houses a gallery, Gift Shop and performing arts center. The museum displays artifacts from the entire African Continent. Display items include masks, figurative sculptures, textiles and contemporary art. The Worcester African Cultural Center provides a forum for cross-cultural exchange, and is an established resource for information on African art and culture for elementary and secondary schools, as well as colleges and universities, in Worcester, its surrounding communities, and the Northeast region. At present there are few institutions where the general public, students, families, and tourists can engage in activities and events related to African art and culture.

The Worcester Cultural Coalition is the unified voice of Worcester' cultural community. It smission is to draw on the City's rich and diverse cultural assets to foster economic revitalization and create a strong cultural identify for the City of Worcester. There's always something happening in Worcester, a City where culture shines! Music and theater flourish at Mechanics Hall, Performing Arts School of Worcester, and Foothills Theatre. Museums including the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester Historical Museum and Higgins Armory Museum regularly schedule special exhibitions and present a variety of fun and educational programs for all ages.
